The Quarterly – Fall 2022

Feeling Blessed.

Gratefulness is a cornerstone of SLC that we embrace every day, but at this time of the year we feel extra thankful for the people we work with and those we work for. Together, we are moving forward on a dynamic pipeline of ground-up and tenant improvement projects. We’ve also grown by 16 employees this year, all tremendously talented new team members. And we’ve continued to give back to our community, which is an important part of who we are. As we move from the season of thanksgiving into the anticipation of a new year, we want to say thank you for allowing us to do what we love, in the best way we know how.

Jamie Godwin, President/CEO

Back to School @ Vista Metro North

We kicked off Fall surrounded by the smell of new pencils and crisp paper… delivering our fifth campus for Vista College Preparatory. An adaptive reuse of an existing office building, VCP’s new Metrocenter campus includes state-of-the-art spaces and a new branch of the Boys & Girls Club of the Valley. Read more here.

New Faces. Going Places!

Our growing SLC job pipeline has allowed us to add 16 amazing new employees this year, including several talented leadership team members. Welcome Glenn Frey – Sr. Project Manager, Dave Zipser – Sr. Project Manager, and Mike Willingham – Director of Field Operations.

Airport48 TIs x3

#TeamSLC‘s industrial tenant improvement division has scored a hattrick, winning the contracts for all three TIs at our Airport48/ Via West Group industrial project near Sky Harbor International Airport. Thank you Expeditors, Monterey Tile and SouthernCarlson for your trust and congratulations to our team!

Copper State

The new distribution center for Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is well underway, designed to provide faster product access for customers in the booming far West Valley. We love this homegrown company, founded in 1972 with five employees and now totaling more than 500. Read more here.

Season of Giving

This season, we’ve been honored to support the Amanda Hope Gala, JDRF Night of Hope and Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Big Dig. Thanks to incredibly generous employees and colleagues, we’re also on our way to collecting 6,000 lbs. of food through our annual St. Mary’s Food Drive – a total that would break our all-time record.
