XPO Boeing

The XPO/Boeing building brings together two Fortune 500 companies to provide large-scale logistics support for tens of thousands of Boeing parts and components. The assignment required SLC to transform an empty, 40’ clear height shell into a designed and delivered, fully air conditioned space incorporating state-of-the-art racking/conveyor systems, mission-specific project handling equipment, a three-level/high-density pick module, 25 fully automated dock doors and a custom 25’ x 20’ overhead door with five-ton crane to manage Boeing’s massively oversized inventory. In the process, SLC doubled the building’s amperage and installed 51 HVAC units via a helicopter/roof delivery, all while remaining on-time for a five-phase move-in schedule.
