Meet the Team
Terry Pagano

Quality Assurance Manager

Years in construction: 10

Years at SLC: 1.5

How were you introduced to SLC?

Quickly! My wife and I made a cross-country move to Arizona in 2019, and our real estate agent was the daughter of an SLC employee. Before I knew it I had closed on a new home and had been hired as a Superintendent for this great company.

That initiated a career shift from engineering to construction. Are you glad?

Absolutely. I missed working out in the field – managing people, getting my hands dirty and putting my stamp on things. Coming back to construction was literally a breath of fresh air.

Now you’re shifting from a Superintendent into quality control and safety. Why?

This new role marries my engineering skills with my experience as a Superintendent – including a heavy attention to detail and process improvement. It supports SLC’s short- and long-term growth, and their needs during this pandemic. I know SLC appreciates this, and it’s great working where I am appreciated.

What are your new responsibilities?

On the quality side I develop QA plans and QC checklists to guide projects. On the safety side I’m focused on immediate needs – COVID policies, procedures and incident response protocols as well as OSHA 30, CPR and first aid training. I’m also a resource for employees at a time when the work environment is very different than before. In the long term, I’m excited to implement new strategies that will help SLC run smoothly while keeping everyone safe and healthy.
