You’ve been with SLC for 26 years. What’s that like?

I started as a carpenter back in 1977, then was a project manager for another company for 13 years before joining Stevens-Leinweber. It has gone by in a flash, probably because I enjoy what I do so much. Dealing with people has always been easy for me and working in this industry has been not only rewarding but also a lot of fun.

What do you think sets SLC apart from the competition?  

Our company looks at its people as family. We want them to be happy and healthy, and the same goes for our subcontractors. That makes me very proud to be part of this organization.    

You’re known for the relationships and loyalty that you build with clients. How do you do it?

My belief is that you treat your clients in the same way that you would like to be treated. If you are honest, work hard to understand their needs and give them your utmost respect you’ll know you are doing all you can to help them in every way possible. That is the way I look at everything I do.
