Energized by Progress

Phoenix is filled with innovators making “what’s next” a reality, and developers, investors and businesses want in. At SLC, we’re busy building the spaces to support that growth, wrapping up Lincoln’s expansive Goodyear AirPark as we begin Merit’s Tex 24, and continuing to produce TIs that are more creative and tech savvy than ever. As we do, I’m honored to see SLC’s work recognized. Our team works hard and is also evolving… underscored by the retirement of long-time colleague Edmund Armijo and the promotion of the talented Ryan Park. So much opportunity lies ahead for our projects, our people and our market. The potential inspires me! We’re here to turn that potential into progress for you. Let us know how we can help.

THAT’S A WRAP: GOODYEAR AIRPARK

We’ve wrapped construction at Goodyear AirPark, totaling 1.6 million s.f. of Class A industrial in one of the West Valley’s most active growth corridors. With outdoor barbecues, pickleball and basketball courts, putting green, and move-in-ready spec office, Lincoln and Harvard are setting a new benchmark for what industrial can be. Another example of how SLC is helping to shape the future one project at a time. Read more here.

NEXT UP: TEX 24

One milestone wraps up and another begins. Team SLC is on site at Tex 24 in Mesa, kicking off construction at this five-building, two-phase Merit Partners industrial development. Phase I includes two buildings and 142,000 s.f., offering the space and location that forward-thinking tenants are seeking. Industrial demand in Phoenix remains strong, and SLC proudly operates at the center of that momentum.

IWG @ GSW

We recently delivered our second tenant improvement at Goodyear Civic Square, with a 15,519 s.f. coworking space for International Workplace Group (IWG). Designed by Phoenix Design One and constructed by SLC, this flexible, modern coworking hub cleverly supports today’s diverse workstyles. It’s progress in action and exactly the kind of high-quality, innovative work that motivates our team.

HONORING A LEGACY

After more than 30 years with SLC, Senior Project Manager Edmund Armijo is retiring. His work philosophy was simple: treat clients with honesty and respect, and always deliver your best. That mindset helped shape our culture and our projects. We’re grateful for Edmund’s steady leadership and lasting contributions, and we wish him a happy retirement!

SHAPING WHAT’S NEXT

Our evolution continues with the promotion of Ryan Park to Director of Construction. With a wide range of projects in the SLC pipeline, Ryan’s leadership ensures our results and our people are the embodiment of Promises Made. Promises Kept. His technical insight, commitment to quality and leadership make him a vital part of Team SLC. Read more about Ryan here.

FIGS: SMART SPACE FOR A SMART BRAND

As Phoenix continues to attract forward-thinking companies, SLC is completing the tenant improvements that help them operate at their best. Our 488,400 s.f. TI for FIGS at Merit Partners’ Lex Cotton Building 3 delivers on that need, with robotics, conveyors, high-capacity racking and specialized fulfillment areas supporting a modern, high-volume distribution model. Take a look.
